About SEL
The She-Empowerment League (SEL), founded in 2018, is a feminist organization dedicated to advancing gender equality and ending domestic violence by empowering girls and young women in Sierra Leone.
SEL addresses the root causes of gender-based violence by equipping young women with the skills and confidence needed for economic independence and leadership.
Our programs focus on vocational training and entrepreneurship, helping girls and young women achieve financial self-reliance. Through leadership development, SEL inspires participants to challenge social norms, take on leadership roles, and advocate for their rights.

Our Work
Simingie Hotel School
Simingie Hotel School is dedicated to bridging the gap in the hospitality industry by providing comprehensive training for young people in customer service, back-office and front-office management.
Our mission is to equip individuals with the skills to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences, benefiting clients and strengthening the industry. Additionally, we offer refresher courses for professionals already in the field, ensuring continuous improvement and growth.
Through our programs, we create employment opportunities for young people and contribute to the development of a thriving hospitality sector.
